The SR – FBM – T2 is an automatic frame brazing machine for solar absorber frames either in Grid or Serpentine form. Model starting from the length of 900mm to the model 2500mm. Model width will be from a minimum of 800mm to a maximum of 1300mm.
General Features
Two off carriage device-carrier for welding support, transverse motion around 2400 mm managed from Servo motor.
Two devices for torch down moving to the brazing position.
Two twin oxygen – propane or butane torches complete with safety valves.
Two units for automatic filler metal feeding.
Machine
The SR – FBM – T2 is an automatic frame brazing machine capable of brazing absorber frames (copper or aluminum). The machine is equipped with two (2) brazing heads in order to braze both sides of the frame simultaneously. The absorber frames are placed in two working tables which are located across each other. The tables are rotated in and out of the brazing area by a rotary indexing table. When table one is loaded with a new product to be brazed, table two is in the brazing area and the two heads are already working on the corresponding frame. When the brazing process is completed, tables are automatically rotated.
Machine Operation
The operator arranges the frame to be brazed on the table which is outside the brazing area.
The arranged frame is rotated to the brazing area.
The brazing heads start brazing automatically the tubes on both frame headers.
The operator removes the finished frame from the table, outside the brazing area, and arranges a new frame on it.
The operator can input through the HMI touch screen the following variables:
- Distance of first join from tube end
- Number of total joins
- Distance between joins
- Various brazing processing times
- Length of filler material

Adjustable approach and feeding of filler metal.
Approach stroke: 25mm
Diameter of filler metal wire: 1 – 2.5 mm
Adjustable distance between the Brazing Heads, in order to process frames of different Riser lengths. Maximum adjustment is 1500mm, thus accommodating frames with riser lengths between 900mm and 2400mm.
Frame width may vary between 800mm and 1300mm.
Two off frame-fixing fixtures per table. Additional fixing fixtures may be provided optionally on extra cost.
